Ravikumar Kashi was born in Bangalore in 1968. He completed his B.F.A. in painting from College of Fine Arts, Bangalore in 1998; M.F.A. in printmaking from the prestigious Faculty of Fine Arts, M.S. University, Baroda in 1990; and M.A. in English from Mysore University, in 1995. He learnt handmade papermaking from Glasgow School of Art, U.K. He also learnt Hanji, traditional Korean papermaking, from Jang Ji Bang, Korea.
Since 1991 his works have been showcased in several solo, group, curated, and museum shows, in India; New York, New Jersey, Palo Alto, Santa Fe, San Francisco, Berkeley and Miami in U.S.A. In Hong Kong, Singapore, Seoul, Yokohama, Burma, Dhaka, Sri Lanka, Beijing and Shanghai in Asia; and also in Munich, Toronto, Dubai and Perth. He lives and works in Bangalore.
