About the Artist

Sharing his fascination for Banaras as a subject for his paintings, Manu Parekh, the artist says, "I first went to Banaras struggling with artistic crisis and traveled in the Ganges by boat. I observed life of this ancient city at a various times of the day and with various perspectives."

"Later I climbed the ghats and saw the temples and people conducting private rituals in common spaces. And that's how flowers, festivals, faces and rituals all became basis of this exhibition."

About the Print

This print is screen-printed on archival paper with the involvement and approval of the artist who decides the number of impressions to be made for a particular painting, calling it an edition. Each print is then numbered and signed by the artist.
Such editions allow more people to enjoy and own these works of art. After the edition is sold out no more prints will be made, making it a limited edition. Each print comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
